2016 PWCCSC Annual Herding Trials
When: Saturday, April 16, 2016 & Sunday, April 17, 2016

What: Come join us for another year of fun at the PWCCSC Annual Herding Trials! The back-to-back events are open to AKC Registered PEMBROKE & CARDIGAN WELSH CORGIS ONLY and for dogs of this breed with ILP/PAL numbers. Two trials are offered each day: Course A Sheep & Course A Ducks. Test classes offered each day: Herding Test & Pre-Trial Test (sheep only).
2016 Herding Instinct Test
When: May 14, 2016
Location: Judy’s Sheep Ranch, 12640 Little Tujunga Canyon Road, Lake View Terrace, CA 91342
What: The herding instinct test will introduce your Corgi to 3 head of dog broke sheep to see if the Corgi can herd. Instinct cannot be taught and prior experience on stock is not required. Judy Vanderford, a herding trial judge knowledgeable in herding instinct, will take your Corgi into the arena for the test and conduct the evaluation for instinct.
2016 PWCCSC Corgi Family Picnic
Come join us for a picnic in the park with the Corgis. There will be activities for the humans and pups, in addition to a potluck lunch, raffle, and general meeting. Got tricks? Here’s your opportunity to show off what your corgi can do! Does your dog like to dress up? No need to wait for Halloween! Come and strut your stuff with us! Club members, guests, and those interested in corgis are all invited to attend.
Date / Time: Saturday, June 18th, 2016 9:00am – 3:00pm. Activities will take place in the morning; raffle and general meeting will occur after lunch.

Get ready! The Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California is holding our annual Fall B match Saturday, October 17, 2015! We welcome all Corgis to come and enjoy a fun-filled day of conformation, obedience and Rally. Conformation is open to Pembroke Welsh Corgis only but ALL breeds are welcome to participate in our obedience and Rally rings!

Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California is thrilled to announce our participation in Vanity Fair’s recent article and video, Queen Elizabeth and Her Corgis: A Love Story. Members were asked to bring their Corgis to a video shoot and they are featured in this article. The article is an outstanding representation of an important part of our breed’s history and we are so grateful to have been a part of it.

PWCCSC proudly announces a hands-on, educational day for you and your corgis. Corgi Academy Day will be held on odd numbered years, and we hope that you will join us for a fun-filled educational day of hands-on lessons / activities, potluck, fabulous raffle, and a general meeting. Club members, guests, and individuals interested in corgis are encouraged to attend. Corgis must be on leash (NO FLEXI – RETRACTABLE LEASHES) or in crates / x-pens.

2014 PWCCSC Fall B Match
It’s been a few months since we’ve had some club fun, so it’s time to get back together! Come on down to Featherly Park in Anaheim, CA on Saturday, October 18th to join our annual Fall B Match. Entries for conformation, obedience, and rally are encouraged! Check out our event page for more details. We hope to see you there!
On Saturday, June 28, 2014 Katie Finlay and Conan (Sir Conan of Stubby Legs RN HT CGC) got their first leg of Novice A with a third place score of 182 at the Queen Mary shows in Long Beach. The next day they got their second leg with another third place score of 191, while Amy Balchum and Gidget (Highgrove Surf’s Up At Rincon CD RE HSAs AX AXJ OF T2B CA VC) won first place in the Open B class!
Fast forward to this past weekend at the Ventura shows where Amy and Gidget came in 4th in Open B. Then she and Oliver (PACH Rincon Oliver Twist UD VER RAE HSAsd MXP6 MJP6 XFP T2BP CA THD VC) came in third place for their 6th UDX leg. Not to mention that Samantha Williams and Buddy (Canetbriar Johnny Be Good CDX GN RAE3 HSAs NJP) received two perfect scores and two more legs of RAE!
Great job to all of the performance teams this year and especially these past two weekends. Everyone is working hard and we look forward to seeing more Corgis out there in the performance venues!
